Posted by Marc Backes on Wednesday, 9 September, 2009

HowTo: Get rid of the itching from a mosquito bite

Posted by Marc Backes on Saturday, 18 July, 2009

mosquitoAt this hot time of the year those little diabolic animals “mosquitos” are around again.

  1. They make a very annoying noise
  2. When they bite you, you get this very annoying itching

As one of those bastards got me, my ankle was itching like hell. But on the Internet you find everything. So there found on the Website frag-mutti.de (in Engl.: ask mommy) a couple of tricks to get rid of it.

Just let hot water (as hot as possible! But take care that it does not burn away your skin. NO BOILING WATER!) flowing over the sting for around 1-2 minutes and you won’t feel it anymore for another 6 hours.

Another method I didn’t try is to hold a spoon in hot water and press it for some seconds on the bite. Repeat it some times. (Also here: NO BOILING WATER!).

For me, the first variant works perfectly, so if you have similar problems… Just try it… it works! ;)
