Yesterday we did a first tour through the city…
First, some facts about it: Trondheim is the 3rd most populated city with a little more than 168.000 and the 256th biggest/smallest city in Norway.
When we went to the city, we very quickly noticed that we will have to take care where to step, because the streets and sidewalks are littered with massive ice and/or snow
It was not too easy to get to the city center itself… and to be honest, it was kinda dangerous

Yesterday I had my trip to Trondheim, Norway. But is was not as pleasant as I expected…
The journey started in Zurich, where we had to wait quiet a long time to get checked in in the “group check-in”. Boarding was unproblematic and the flight was nice too. It took about two hours.
Arrived in Oslo, the uncomfortable part started… Getting out of the plane it said that domestic flights need to pick up the luggage and check it in again… What the fuck?! Why that? In every flight I had until now it was not like that…
Well okay, I was there picking up my luggage and… yeah… they actually broke my bag!! The wheel was defect when I picked it up.

Tomorrow, the day will be there to travel to Trondheim (Norway). Why are you asking?
Well… I am participating in a so-called “Intensive Program” (IP) for the FH Vorarlberg. Those IPs are every year and some universities from around Europe are participating (Dornbirn (AT), Trondheim (N), Amsterdam (NL) and a university from Ireland, but I don’t know which one). And this year it’s taking place in Trondheim!

I don’t talk too often about my private life here on my blog. But I want to share (with family and friends and whoever else is reading this) some things coming up in the next months…
Special greets to some people who live far away from me: my mom, my dad, my brother (do you even read this boring blog?), Fabrice & Magali, Claude, …
…to mention only a few. If you feel skipped, leave a remark in the comment section
I hope you are all fine

… frickin’ kidding me!!?
“Funny” story: Today I wanted to open a cell phone contract (at the provider O*****), because I am sick of my prepaid SIM card. First, they needed my registration affirmation from Dornbirn, that I am registered here.
After I got that, they made a copy of my passport, my bank card and my student card. Then, after around 30 minutes waiting (they had to re-send the information to the legal department, etc.) they told me that they could not create the desired contract because they have a problem with it that my principal residence is not here in Austria, but only my second and that I am not an Austrian citizen.
They offered me to give me a contract with a modification: Only when I paid every bill after 6 months, they would activate my roaming. In other words: I could the first 6 months only call and be called while being in Austria.
Now really… what else do they want as a prove that I live here!? Are we now living in the EU or not??
After that, I sent a written complaint to the legal department with an explanation why I need to be accessible abroad… Jeez… Let’s see what they tell me!?
I got a visit from Luxembourg for two days. Claude visited me and my girlfriend here in Lucerne
That was very nice of him! Because it is about 5 hours to drive and that is quiet a lot for that little time.
But still, we had fun! The first day he arrived he have been watching the city a little bit, get post cards for Claude, had dinner in Burger King and saw the movie “Inglourious Basterds” in the cinema (more to that on a later post).
The second day we were a little bit lazy and we spent the morning writing post cards, when after that we went to the city center to “get rid” of them. We walked around, found out that jackknifes are forbidden in Switzerland. In the evening we have been to dinner, invited by Claude (Thanks Claude
).
Unfortunately, he had to go already this morning. But we had a nice time.
I hope you visit us again Claude!

On Friday 2 weeks ago (July 31th) I came with my girlfriend to Lucerne because she will be studying German here in an intensive course (2 hours/day, 5 days/week). So I have been here for 1 week now (I have been to Dornbirn this weekend), enough time to collect some first impressions.

Yesterday, me and my friends (Didi & René) did something different that all the time… We went to an American football match! We decided it some days ago because we saw a flyer in the university which made advertisement for the match. The Hohenems Blue Devils played against the Vienna Vikings.
Arriving at the match, we were quiet amazed by the athmosphere in the stade. The music was nice and the local Blue Devis supporters equipied with drums and gas horns…

After 3,5 days in Luxembourg I had to come back to Austria again to continue my studies here.
It was a nice -but too short- time in Luxembourg. But I got a lof of things done: Going to a mandatory car check at a governmental institution (it passed like it could not do better), put new tires on the car (for the summer), registered for postal vote, cleaned and polished the car (which was kind of useless, because now it looks again like a mess
). And I visited a few people, mostly family.
When do I come back to Luxembourg? I don’t know yet. At the end of June, my courses and tests are over, but I guess I will have to stay there a little longer. But when I know when I will come back, here you will read it
…correct… WE will be what is up Luxembourg
Since yesterday evening I am in Luxembourg again. I started at 3pm in Bregenz and arrived as 10pm. I had a lot of traffic jam and I was quiet exhausted when I arrived in Luxembourg. But happy to see my family
Today morning I went with my car to “Contrôle technique Sandweiler” (the luxembourgian governmental car-authorization point). And yeah if you believe it or not, my MINI passed with no errors! 100% perfect!!
I’m very glad about that. I have it almost for 3 years now. (I got it in June 2006).
Tomorrow, BBQ is planned!
